This Sunday, May 17, bring all your questions about summer camp in our neighborhood to the free Ditmas Park Camp Crawl, which will include games for the kiddos, refreshments, arts and crafts, a family concert performance and a whole lot more.

Here’s when and where you can find the festivities:

What can you expect to find at the open houses?

Urban Martial Arts

Learn about Urban Martial Arts’ summer karate sports camp that runs from June 29 through August 28 — you can choose from sessions that last for three, five, seven, or nine weeks. The day camp runs from 9:30am to 4:30pm, with an early drop-off available from 8am and a late pick-up extending to 6pm.
Your child will get daily karate classes, sports workouts, free weekly field trips, and more during the camps that ensure they stay active, have fun, learn valuable life skills, and get some quality karate training.
During Sunday’s event, you can tour the 3,500-square-foot facility, meet the staff and instructors, and even learn a few kicks and punches!

Ezra Guitar
There will be free trial lessons, information, snacks and more at Ezra Guitar’s open house, at which you can learn about programs that involve studying guitar for neighbors ages 4 to 104, music and art for kids ages 0 to 4, and enrichment programs for children in pre-K to second grade, including guitar, art, science and gardening.
Plus, there will be a free family concert from 2-2:30pm on Sunday — and if you can’t get to the 1:30-3:30pm slot, Ezra Guitar will be on hand to answer your questions (and give free lessons) before and after the event, from 11am-6pm. Special promotions and prizes will be given to all those who sign up during Sunday’s open house.

Prospect Gymnastics
Learn about Prospect Gymnastics’ summer camp that runs from July 6 through August 14, with enrollment running by weekly sessions. The day camp operates from 9am-3:15pm, with drop-offs beginning at 8:45am. Extended day options are available until 6pm.
During the camp that focuses on intensive gymnastics training and dance alongside fun art projects and water activities, the campers will focus on specific gymnastics and dance skills that they’ll showcase at their end-of-the-week performance.
During the open house, you can meet the teachers and camp staff and join them for slacklining, arts and crafts, and play time.

Alden Moves Dance Theater

Get your questions answered about Alden Moves’ camp that runs 9am-12pm on July 6 through August 21. Registration will operate by week, with a discount offered for six or more weeks for the dance camps that allow kids to hone their technique with more concentrated study and have fun with enrichment activities that round out their learning, inspire creativity and encourage critical thinking.

During Sunday’s open house, there will be toys, stories, games and more.
